A healthy sex life is vital to one’s well-being; mentally, emotionally, psychologically and physically. It enhances productivity by intensifying human well-being. However, sex is only encouraged to married people because sex outside marriage forms ungodly soul ties with the partner (1 Corinthians 6:16). Below are benefits of a healthy sex life gathered from sexologists:

📌 A healthy sex life improves libido and intimacy. It improves the quality of relationships by improving bonds and closeness to the sexual partner.


📌 A healthy sex life lowers blood pressure and improves the body immune system because the activity and thrill is like an exercise. In the same sense, it reduces chances of heart diseases but rather improves heart health.


📌 A healthy sex life prevents chances of negatives sensations like low self-esteem depression and anxiety. To add on, chances of both physiological and emotional stress are reduced by a healthy sex life.

Without a healthy sex lifestyle or a sex life at all, at worst case instances, one can undergo mood swings, sadness, and loneliness, low self-esteem, and could become a sadist or experience other negative sensations.

Persons without a healthy sex life or sex can forge defense mechanisms sublimation, ego defense and denial. Sublimation is a defense mechanism of which a person tends to channel energy to acceptable behavior for example a person lacking sex or a healthy sex life could venture in thrilling games like horse riding or a become workaholic. Denial is a defense mechanism which causes one a refusal to accept reality and ego defense mechanism is a defense mechanism of unconscious psychological operation to protect a person from anxiety-producing thoughts and feelings related to internal conflicts and external stressors such as low self-esteem from lack of sex.
