The republic of Zambia whose Independence Day lies on 24th October celebrated her 59 years of independence this year (2023). 24th October 2023 has a charismatic fever for Zambian entertainment including the endowing of Zambia’s great lyricist and singer Sampa The Great who has taken Zambian music to international level.
Sampa the great received honors from at state house by the president of the republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema alongside the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts Pilato. Sampa the Great was honored for her work in music arts on Monday 24th October 2023. She took it to her social media to give a vote if thanks

Beyond Honoured to be the Recipient of the President’s Insignia of Recognition for my work in Music Arts.
To His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema I am deeply honoured and deeply appreciative of this recognition.
To know the hard work, passion, blood, sweat and tears is appreciated especially at home means a lot to me.

Zambia’s 59th Independence Day liberates entertainment.
Sampa the great has featured Zambian artists for the official sound track of Hollywood- Marvel block buster movie, Black Panther 2, A BET nomination among others.
Across the country and beyond were many commemorative activities and ‘Zambian- flag’ usual outfits to complement the countries liberation and pride for Zambia’s 59th Independence Day. Social media has been flooded with celebratory posts by Zambians in the country and in diaspora as well as many other people different nationalities but aficionados of the country.
