Pope Francis is to release a new document as an effort to help “put an end to the senseless war against our common home. This comes after. Series of ground breaking environmental disparities of global warming; record breaking rising temperatures, wildfires, storms among others.
*The senseless war on our common home, it is a terrible war” he lamented.
Pope Francis announced this development during his general audience at the Vatican on 30th August, 2023.
The Pope’s document is a follow up document on the environment that will be released on 4th October 2023. It will provide an update on his 2015 encyclical laudato si’ on our care for our common home. The 2015 encylincal laudato si’ on care for our common home was a document that rallies a cry for global action in the fight for climate change.
Due to the environmental urgency, the publication will come in form of an apostolic exhortation, a manegerial document written by the pope that is meant for drawing focus to a particular issue or concern.
