Dashiki

Dashiki is a popular fashion trend to a lot of black fox around the world and other people that credit and embrace African fashion styles. Dashiki is an African print kind of garment well-known all over Africa however the name is ‘dashiki is originally Nigerian from Yoruba tribe and it simply means shirt. Most dashiki clothes are shirts however the fashion has evolved with the same print to no limits; stylish dresses, head raps, shoes, swim suits and many others. Dashikis are African retro fashion as they have been in existence for unknown many years. Though traces of the fashion evolution can be determined, they were seen old movies in American Hollywood movies and particularly the New York Times Magazine in July 1968 (Museum of uncut funk). Dashiki are currently seen on many internet fashion sites, blogs as well as shopping sites, magazines and others. There are also seen on many famous people like drake in the music video started from the bottom, and other advents, Chadwick Boseman (RIP) in the famed Black Panther movie, Chris Brown in appearances, and Jhene Aiko’s premiere of her debut album.

Beaded fashion

African beaded fashion can be said to at no time rest to being in custom. In other words beaded fashion doesn’t rest in African wear as they are part of Africans. The origin of African beads cannot be traced and they are one of the uniform trends all over Africa. Beads/ beaded fashion is trended on jewellery; anklets, necklaces, waist beads, heads bands, bralets, rings, ear rings, belly rings and for other piercings. They are also embroidered or stitched on regular clothes as well as hats, scarfs and others.  Beaded fashion has been a popular trends to many other black fox around the word for example Taraji p Henson wore a stunning beaded necklace on of South African derivation on couture Afrique.

Two print African printed clothes are a sassy fashion trend in current times. Two piece fashion of any kind is also a popular trend word wide yet African fashion has got a rooted traditional fashion style to it. Two piece African print clothes were worn in many parts of African in ancient days; Zambia, Nigeria, Botswana, Ghana and others. They are mostly in seen Nigerian Nollywood movies of ancient stories. They are now trending at pageants, fashion shows, blogs, and fashion sites and more even daily fashion oriented attires.

Though there are a western fashion in regard, prom African printed dresses were a thing in olden days and now there a popular trending fashion at events such as traditional ceremonies, weddings, fashion shows, premiers, church services and so many others.

 African fitenge patterns

Fitenge patterns seemed to have been lost in trends. They were a common kind of fashion until recently when the fashion resurfaced. The central, southern and eastern part of Africa have been for many years into African printed garments with similar names in indigenous languages for example; chitenge and kitenge. They have been making all sorts of patterns without limit yet to garb the purpose for example weddings, funerals and even for political events.

 Nowadays, generally African print patterns of any kind are trending, African print seemed to have lost touch in somewhere early 2000s. They are now trending to a point where any fashion of any kind can be made tastefully to African fashion from head wear, jewellery, coats, swimsuits, bow-ties, pants and many others.
